Homemade Kids Bubble Bath

This is my first attempt at making homemade bubble bath for my kids. All kids love to take baths and mine do so daily but buying bubble bath, especially kids bubble bath, can get expensive. Here is a simple recipe to mix up some bubble bath and keep those extra dollars in your pocket for more important things like that ice cream cone at the park.

Homemade Kids Bubble Bath Recipe
  • 2 cups of baby shampoo
  • 3 cups of water
  • 2 1/2-3 T of Sea Salt
  • 60-70 drops of essential oil (I used baby oil but this is optional)
  1. Pour shampoo into a bowl and add water slowly.
  2. Stir gently until well mixed.
  3. Add salt, and stir until mixture thickens.
  4. Add optional oil and place in mason jar or funnel into empty Shampoo bottle, then add your own Bubble Bath Label.

I plan to double this to be able to fill the bottle I used (an old Florida's Natural Orange Juice bottle). Here is the original recipe if you want to try it at first.
